The Daughters of Cain
The New Inspector Morse Novel by Colin Dexter. 1994
I may have read this before, but I didn't remember it. The Way Through the Woods was the previous Morse novel. It won the Gold Dagger award. In the television series, Morse, the character was portrayed by John Thaw. I could probably read all the Colin Dexter novels again, they are so well-written.

The Reading List
By Sara Nisha Adams. 2019
Read for the Vandalia Library adult book discussion group meeting on the first Thursday at 1:30.
I had trouble getting into the book, the point of view kept changing with the introductions of the characters. Eventually I stopped worrying about who had the reading list, as there were several, and just kept track of the characters who I remembered. I thought it was an engaging book. I liked the introduction to the books on the reading list and the character's reaction to the books. As I had read most of the books on the reading list, this held my interest. I would recommend this book, but not everyone agreed with me.
